We have seen some very cool product at CES 2013, many of which were iPhone/iPad compatible. A few days ago, we had the chance to cover Rode’s new microphone for iPhone. The Zoom iQ5 Microphone is another great add-on to use to improve the quality of your audio captures. It is compatible with Lightning-based devices and can capture audio at 16-bit/44.1kHz resolution.
The Zoom iQ5 Stereo microphone is compatible with your favorite iOS applications. It allows for both horizontal and vertical audio recording (90 and 120-gree field positions are available). This stereo microphone is not the best one we have seen for iPhone (on paper). But it can still improve the quality of audio you capture using your smartphone. It will set you back $100.
We have been hearing a lot of rumors about Apple making its own iWatch. Apple has not confirmed any of those rumors. But you don’t have to wait for the company to make a watch that is compatible with your phone. The Casio GB-5600A watch is a tough gadget that uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your iOS device.
The new GB-5600A notifies you when you get phone calls, emails, and alarms. It will sync with iOS devices only but the folks at Casio are planning to support Android in the near future. This cool watch will cost you $180. You will have to wait till summer to get one of these.
