Was iPhone 5 Real? Siri mind-control hack a Hoax?
0Many of us expected Apple to introduce a brand new iPhone with a drastically different design. We had seen many so-called iPhone 5 cases just a couple of weeks before iPhone 4S was announced. Could it be that Apple had prepared the device and was ready to go with it all along? An anonymous source has told Business Insider that iPhone 5 was real. The source has been allegedly right about previous Apple products and played with an iPhone 5 prototype.
It is not clear why Apple did not choose to bring iPhone 5 to the market this time around. Maybe the company did not feel iPhone 5 was ready enough for launch. It is not as if iPhone 4S has not been a success for Apple. While this story remains a rumor, it is interesting to note that multiple people have claimed they played with advanced iPhone 5 prototypes in the past. iPhone 5 is coming in the next few months. It will almost certainly have a new design. After all the issues iPhone 4S owners have had to experience, iPhone 5 has got to deliver big.
Speaking of rumors, the Siri mind control hack which has generated a lot of buzz on the Internet is probably a fake. A video by a group called Project Black Mirror seems to suggest Siri could be controlled through mind commands. While the idea is exciting, many experts are now claiming the video is a hoax. As InteraXon COO Trevor Coleman states, ECG pads are not designed to read the human mind. Besides, the scale of measuring inputs seems to be wrong.
At this point, this does seem to be a video demonstrating the future. Most experts agree that we are probably a decade or two away from such technology making its way to the market. Of course, the folks behind this video could always surprise us and claim it to be real.
What’s your take? Is the above video a hoax?
