We have been hearing all kinds of Verizon iPhone rumors for a few months now. With Verizon selling iPad these days, there is almost no doubt that the company will go ahead with its plan to offer CDMA iPhone to its customers. Apparently, the company could be making changes to its wireless plans to grab as many AT&T customers as possible. Verizon’s unlimited data plans could be quite tempting for AT&T customers who still have not made up their mind about dropping AT&T.
Analysts are quite optimistic about the future of Verizon iPhone. All iPhone customers are familiar with some of the issues that AT&T has had to deal with in the past. The company simply was not capable of keeping up with iPhone’s load at time.
Now with the droid devices and other things, that Verizon has been flexing its network in terms of data usage, they have the experience under their belt now to be able to contend with the challenges that the iPhone is going to bring. I think if Verizon had been first, they would have had the same problems that AT&T had,
said Forrester Research analyst Charles Golvin. Verizon is not going to be the perfect carrier for iPhone. No such a thing exists. At the same time, many are hoping that Verizon has learned some lessons from AT&T. We will not know for sure until Verizon iPhone debuts.
In the meantime, current iPhone owners can take comfort in the fact that Apple’s latest iOS could improve their phone’s performance (in the older models such as 3G an 3GS).
Maybe the latest Apple lawsuit was not necessary after all.
