Apple is going to announce the iPad Air 2, Retina iMac, and maybe a couple of other products at its upcoming event. The iPad Pro, which will have a 12.9″ display, won’t be launching in 2014 though. Digitimes is now reporting that TSMC is tasked with manufacturing the A8X chip for this larger tablet. The A8X processor is going to be a tad bit larger than the A8 chip used in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+.
Speaking of new Apple products, the iPad Air 2 and Retina iMac will be announced tomorrow. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, supplies are going to be limited for the new iPad Air 2. The 27″ Retina display iMac will be available by the end of the year. Kuo’s latest report suggests that the iPad mini won’t get a major upgrade this time around as Apple is focus on building a large tablet. Will we see a new Mac Mini? That remains to be seen.
