Thicker iPad Mini 2, 12″ Apple Tablet?

Apple is expected to announce the iPad mini 2 next week (even though some members of media are now reporting that might not happen). The device is going to have a faster processor and an improved display. As Japanese site Macotakara has reported, the thickness of the iPad mini will increase by 0.3mm this time around.
Apple works very hard to keep its devices slim. But what’s being reported is not going to be a deal breaker for iPad mini fans. On the bright side, the new iPad mini will still offer a great battery life.
Speaking of new Apple products, Digitimes is again reporting that Apple and Samsung are interested in developing 12 inch tablets. The report suggests that Apple is working with Quanta Computer on the project. Digitimes does not have a perfect record with rumors by any means. We find the 12″ MacBook rumor to be more credible.
