iPhone 5 Not Expected at WWDC, Sprint to Offer Unlimited Data for LTE iPhone?
1Apple announced its Worldwide Developers Conference will be held in the middle of June this year. It didn’t take long for the company to sell all the tickets available for it. The event was used to launch two iPhones in the past. But considering the launch time for the iPhone 4S, it is highly doubtful that Apple will release a new iPhone at WWDC this year.
We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers… The iOS platform has created an entirely new industry with fantastic opportunities for developers across the country and around the world.
said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing. Apple has surprised us in the past but this event will more likely focus on iOS and OX Mountain Lion software. Some experts are already pointing to rumors that the company may be planning to release iOS 6 and a redesigned App Store in June. We can’t confirm those rumors at this point.
The previous iPhone has been quite costly for Sprint. But the company is still planning to offer unlimited data for the iPhone 5. At least that’s the plan according to Sprint CEO Dan Hesse:
I’m not anticipating the unlimited plan would change by that point … That’s our distinctive differentiator. Frankly, [the iPhone and unlimited data is] a marriage made in heaven.
The next generation of iPhone is expected to be LTE-capable. Can Sprint’s network handle all the load? That will be interesting to wait and see.
I hope they release an updated version of iOS. The look of the operating system has barely changed and I think it needs a much awaited upgrade on the cosmetic side.
