Sonos is behind some great wireless speakers. They are not cheap but offer you a super rich sound experience in your home. It is no secret that Sonos users get to control their devices from their iPhone or iPad. Thanks to Sonos’ updated controller app, users will now have the ability to stream music stored on their iOS device directly to their wireless audio system. The update treats music stored on iOS devices just like any other music service, saving users time streaming music.
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to play audio from other music apps on your iOS device without doing some hacking. But you will be able to use your iPhone as more than just a controller for your Sonos wireless system. Interestingly enough, the Sonos Dock is also capable of playing music stored on an iPhone. That does cost $119. Using the updated Sonos app won’t cost you a penny though.
Remember the G-Shock GB6900 watch? The watch by Casio that was supposed to be iPhone friendly. This is a Bluetooth 4.0 smartwatch that first showed up in March of last year. It has taken Casio a long while to release it though. It is water and shock resistant. It pairs with your iPhone (4S or later) to sync time, send you alerts, and even help you find the location of your misplaced smartphone. For $180, this is not a bad deal at all.
