Shimi Dancing Robot for iPhone, iPod Touch’s 1136×640 Pixels Display
0We are soon going to find a lot about what the iPhone 5 has to offer. How soon? We are talking about a few hours at this point. The iPhone is not the only device that Apple will be announcing today though. It is expected to announce the new iPod Touch as well. Like its big brother, the new iPod Touch will have a 4 inch display. The device will have a new, more powerful processor as well.
As Will Strafach has disclosed, the new iPod is code-named N78AP. It will sport a 1136 * 640 display. The processor inside is most likely going to be less powerful than the one in the iPhone. The same applies to the iPod Touch camera. There are rumors suggesting that the new iOS devices will offer support for panorama photos right out of the box. We can’t confirm that at this point. While the new iPods will be announced today, the iPad mini will most likely debut in a month or so.
In the past couple of years, we have tested plenty of awesome speaker docks for iPhone. The Shimi dock is very different though. It is a robotic dock that moves to your music. The device has 6 watt speakers and promises great sound quality. The Shimi can dance. It has 5 motors and will dance to the beat of any song. The Shimi uses face recognition software to figure out where you are. It even understands natural language commands.
This is a very exciting project. It is currently being funded through Kickstarter. The developers promise more apps and features for the future. The Shimi does look like one of the most entertaining docks around though.
