Apple has updated OS X and iOS 7 and added a ton of exciting features to them. Developers are already getting their hands on the beta version of these apps. The new OS X Mavericks release offers improved calendar, iBooks, Maps, Safari update, and support for multiple displays. There is no longer a primary or secondary screen as each display will have its own menu bar. Mac users can now use AirPlay and Apple TV to turn their HDTV into a display.
MrThaiBox123 has put together a video that shows how the new OS X looks like on a six 27 inch monitor setup. As you can see, a full-screen app does not blank out other displays. The wallpaper stays intact on all your monitors. It’s nice to see that Apple has fixed some of the annoying shortcomings of Mountain Lion in OS X Mavericks.
Apple TV did not receive a whole lot of attention during WWDC. But it is expected to get a major update soon. New videos are now revealing that Apple TV will get iTunes Radio and a conference room mode. Users will be able to stream music from the device’s app. Apple may have not treated iRadio like a big deal during WWDC. But it has grand plans for it. The Conference Room mood could come handy in business settings. The software is in the beta stage at this time.
