Keeping your iPhone charged and ready to go every single day is important. Your phone does offer a decent battery life, so as long as you are not off the grid for too long, you should be fine. It is always nice to have ways to charge an iPhone, especially during emergencies. We have already covered plenty of awesome solar chargers for smartphones and tablets. The OnBeat Solar Headphones are special though. They let you charge your phone as you listen to your music.
These headphones are developed to charge smartphones and tablets on the go. They have an integrated flexible solar cell that covers the full headband and captures solar energy within batteries in the two ear cups (1000mAh). The batteries can be charged via USB directly. These headphones are adjustable too. This interesting project is currently being funded on Kickstarter.
Speaking of interesting chargers, the Juice Up concept by Francois Rybarczyk is a nice idea to explore. It is a simple tool that would let iPhone users borrow some juice from other phones. So if your phone is dying and your friend’s phone has some battery juice to spare, you can initiate the battery juice transfer process with the Juice Up. The Juice Up is still just a concept but we would love to see how the project goes in the upcoming months.
