iPhone’s cameras have been getting better every year. You can now take quality pictures using your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S. Apple is not stopping there though. The company is expected to make a few adjustments to its next iPhone, adding a HD front-facing camera to the device. At least that is what KGI analyst Mingchi Kuo is suggesting. Considering that the next generation iPhone is expected to have a larger display, a HD front camera in the middle would go nicely with it.
Kuo also suggests that Apple will retain the 8-megapixel rear camera but will improve the aperture range to go up to f2.2. The iPhone 4S camera has a max aperture of f/2.4. The rear camera on the 6th generation iPhone is expected to be thinner too. The device will most likely be thinner than ever. Using thinner components will certainly help. The iPhone 5 is still expected to make its debut sometime in September or October.
Apple may be bringing out exciting products all the time. But it can’t seem to be able to escape privacy issues on iOS. LinkedIn is the latest company who has been caught transmitting data without users’ knowledge. Researchers Yair Amit and Adi Sharabani have discovered that once users opt-in to view their calendar entries within the LinkedIn app for iOS, the app automatically transmits user data back to LinkedIn servers. That includes passwords and meeting notes too.
The transmission of data without users’ consent may violate Apple’s privacy guidelines even though LinkedIn is not using the data for any malicious purpose. Path was one of the companies that got caught over a similar issue. It would not surprise us if LinkedIn fixes this issue with the next update of its app.
