New iPods Coming, Apple To Introduce a Pandora-like Service?
0Those who follow the developments in the tech world have already gotten a lot to think about after Amazon’s announcement of its new Kindles yesterday. Amazon did introduce a bunch of cool products. But we are going to hear about a few more exciting ones in about a week. Apple will not only announce the new iPhone next Tuesday, it will also refresh its iPods.
According to a recent report by 9 to 5 Mac, Apple will release new iPod Nano and Shuffle products. The iPod Touch product line could get refreshed as well. The new iPod Nanos and Shuffles will be available in multiple colors. We don’t anticipate Apple to change its long-time strategy when it comes to the iPod Touch line though. The iPad mini will be announced this year but we will have to wait till October to see it.
Apple is not focused on hardware products only. According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, the company is in talks with record companies to license music for a Pandora-like service. The service will run on iOS devices and Macs. It could run on Windows too. Google’s Android platform will not get this service though. People familiar with the matter have told the WSJ that Apple’s service will offer greater interactivity than its rivals. We will have to wait and see what Apple is up to in this area.
