New iPad Has Bluetooth 4.0, i4Siri for Jailbroken iOS 5
0Most people do not have to make up lousy excuses to pick up the new iPad. It offers enough improvements over its predecessor to be worth picking up. The fact that the device takes advantage of Bluetooth 4.0 is encouraging though. The new iPad is the first tablet to take advantage of this ultra-low power technology. Bluetooth 4.0 is backward compatible. Your new tablet will be able to connect with a whole bunch of new Bluetooth Smart Devices too.
The new iPad will be able to connect with ultra-efficient accessories that won’t require a change of batteries for the life of it. It has applications for fitness and health-related purposes. Not surprisingly, you will be able to use your iPad to control your home theater system and other electronics in your home. The iPhone 4S and Droid RAZR also have Smart Ready Hubs.
Apple did not deliver Siri on the new iPads. Siri is also not officially available for iPhone 3GS, iPad, and iPad 2. Thanks to i4Siri, you can use this virtual assistant on your jailbroken device. That’s right. You need to jailbreak your device to take advantage of i4Siri. iOS 5.0 or above is required too. Apple has tried to block Siri access attempts from non-iPhone 4S devices in the past. But i4Siri seems to be functional at this time. We would love for Apple to bring Siri to more iOS devices in the future.
