The iPhone is a pretty decent gaming device. There are a significant number of exciting games available for iOS devices. You don’t necessarily need a controller to play games on your smartphone but it would help. That is especially the case for addictive games that require players to require both hands to play. With iOS 7 supporting third-party controllers, it is only a matter of time before accessory makers come up with controllers for gamers. Logitech will be one of the first.
The above photo shows Logitech’s controller for iOS devices. This is large enough to fit an iPhone 5. It has buttons and features gamers will need to play games without tiring their hands. We are going to see more controllers when iOS 7 is released for iPhone and iPad. Let’s hope iOS controllers are priced reasonably.
We have already seen what iOS 7 for iPhone looks like. The iPad and iPad mini will also run iOS 7 but not a lot people seem to be talking about that. There is a good reason for that. Initial iOS 7 betas are only available for iPhone. Fortunately, developers have started experimenting with iOS to force it to run on iPad. Photos of iOS 7 on iPad have already hit the Web.
iOS 7 for iPad is not a finished product yet. Rumor has it that Apple is running behind but iOS 7 betas for iPad will be coming in the near future. For now, emulators let you get a taste how iOS 7 looks like on larger iOS devices.
