We first heard about the MAUZ dongle a couple of weeks ago. It is a pointing device that allows users to control their computers using gestures. It supports both motion and visual gestures and can give you a Minority-Report-like control over your devices. MAUZ’s app turns your phone into a mouse or touchpad. 3D navigation is also available (similar to what you get with your Wii controller).
The MAUZ supports custom gestures for your apps. Its visual gestures are programmed to interact with different computer applications. The MAUZ app can recognize the software you are using to offer customized shortcuts to make you more productive. The fact that an open SDK will be available for developers is a plus. This exciting project is being funded through Kickstarter.
Twitterific has been around for some time. It is one of the best Twitter clients around. The latest version offers a whole host of new features. For starters, many bugs have been fixed this time around. The app now has a simplified reading mode for the in-app browser using Instapaper / Readability. Users can find tweets in all timelines using the History search feature. The app handles images better too.
Twitterific is now more iPad friendly and loads 100 tweets when refreshed. It has a new gesture for retweeting. VoiceOver accessibility has been added to the Load More button too. This cool app is now available for $2.99 for a limited time.
