Latest iPad 3 Rumors
0Apple iPad 2 is still the best tablet on the market. To be fair, a few Apple competitors are planning to bring very decent Android tablets to the market. But we have not seen any tablet that offers an experience close to what one gets on iPad 2. Apple is not about to wait and see who will be the first to do that though. According to multiple sources, Apple could bring a new iPad to the market in Q4 this year to crush the competition. As reported on Reuters, The Economic Daily claims iPad 3 will be coming later this year as a part of Apple’s plan to keep its rivals at bay. MacRumors has published the translation of this news tip:
Apple, in order to maintain a leading position, plans to launch iPad 3 in the fourth quarter by shortening the iPad Product life cycle. And also, try to push the screen resolution of iPad 3 to 2560×1920 , which is the ultimate resolution a 9.7 Inch Panel can achieve and doubles “Full HD”.
Will iPad 3 offer a resolution of 2560×1920? It is hard to imagine that happening. iPad 2’s screen is not a major improvement over its predecessor. Without a doubt, iPad 3 will have a superior display. Tech Unwrapped has posted a set of pictures that allegedly show iPad 3 having a retina display, which is much more believable.
Perhaps the best way to find information on new Apple products is by going through iOS 5’s code. As TUAW has found out, there are references to “iPad3,1” and “iPad3,2” in the new iOS system files. Maybe Apple will finally release a 7 inch iPad in addition to a 10 inch model?
We still do not have solid proof that a new iPad is coming this year. Apple is already planning to launch iPhone 4s later this year. The company can’t afford to underwhelm with its new iPad, which is why a 2012 launch sounds more likely.
