JBL Unveils Lightning Audio Docks, Wallet TrackR Tracks Your Wallet
0The iPhone 5 and iPad mini were both released a short while ago with the all new Lightning port. Apple has already upgraded the iPad to Lightning technology as well. No matter how one feels about Lightning cables and the port, getting old docks with the old connector for your new iPhone or iPad is not a smart idea. JBL seems to be the first company to unveil iOS audio docks with Lightning connector built-in.
JBL’s OnBeat Micro and OnBeat Venue LT are priced $99 and $199 respectively. As the name suggests, the JBL OnBeat Micro audio dock is compact and portable. It has a built-in USB connector for non-Lightning music sources too. The OnBeat Venue LT dock has a standard size but can be paired with up to 8 devices via Bluetooth. These prices do suggest that the above docks are not exactly premium audio docks. But they should be decent enough for most folks. Their support for tbe Lightning connector is a huge plus though.
When it comes to cool products, the Wallet TrackR is well worth checking out. The purpose of the device is very simple: to keep you from losing your wallet. It fits in any standard wallet and alerts you when you are moving away from it. Its app takes a GPS snapshot of where your wallet has been at the moment of separation so you can work your way back to it.
The Wallet TrackR uses Bluetooth technology to pair with iOS devices. It has a companion app that helps you keep up with the tracker easier. Users could always make their wallet ring if they have lost it at home or in their office. Owners get reminders and a lose and found map to recover their lost wallet. Interested? You can reserve yours for as low as $19 at this point.
