We have seen plenty of exciting iPhone concepts in the past few years. The iPhone Beamer project is worth being excited about. It is all about turning your iPhone into a projector. Mini projectors have not exactly taken off like experts expected them too. There have been attempts to incorporate projectors in cameras and smartphones. But picture quality has not been satisfying so far.
The iPhone Beamer Concept by design student Andreas Bhend is more than a projector case for iPhone. It uses the laser mini-beam to project games, videos, photos, and applications. You are just going to need a wall to use this. We are not sure if the designer has thought of a way to connect an iPad to this.
Of course, this is just a concept at this point. But the iPhone Beamer project could be a hit if implemented the right way. That is if Apple does not pull it off first. Samsung’s Galaxy Beam, which happens to have a projector, is headed to the U.S. already. Will we see iPhones with projectors in the future? Not anytime soon but Apple has surprised us in the past.
