It is no secret that many iPhone 5s users have been experiencing iPhone sensor issues. It has not taken the community long to come up for a solution for those. RealityCap, a company that makes an iPhone app that relies on iPhone’s camera and sensor to operate, has released a fix that enables iOS apps to adjust the incorrect iPhone 5s data.
Since the bias is more or less constant, a simple one-time calibration process can correct for it. There are several ways to approach this, but we find it most straightforward to ask the user to place their device on a flat, level surface. We then capture accelerometer data over a period of time (to smooth out any vibration or noise in the measurements). This data can be averaged or filtered in a variety of ways
explained Eagle Jones, Reality Cap CEO. The solution is not perfect but a good start. Let’s not forget that Apple might release its own fix in the future.
Speaking of the iPhone 5s, there are many folks who are still waiting to get their hands on this phone. The iPhone 5s Stock Finder is a handy tool that lets you know where you can buy an iPhone 5s in your local area. The tool now offers e-mail alerts. Instead of refreshing the page to get updates, you can now sign up for e-mail alerts. This could prove handy if you badly want a new iPhone and just can’t find one.
