iPhone 5 Coming To Sprint, Apple Best Tech Stock?
0Most Apple fans would love to have more options when it comes to choosing a carrier for their iPhone. For a long time, the iPhone was stuck with AT&T. Apple has managed to expand its reach by bringing Verizon on-board. Considering that Apple does not produce multiple smartphone products, it needs to rely on more carriers to grow its marketshare in this side of the world. Sprint is expected to be the latest carrier to get a chance to sell iPhones.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that Sprint will most likely get the iPhone later this year. Sprint is planning to make big changes to its wireless strategy. The company has hinted in the past that it would be interested in getting its own iPhones. At this point, that’s what it needs to get a boost. Sprint will most likely develop a LTE network on top of its current offering. Unfortunately, iPhone 5 will not fully support that.
Apple has come a long way in the stock market. It was not too long ago that many analysts looked at Apple and its strategy with doubts. Steve Jobs’ team has proven itself over and over again. Just a couple of days ago, we heard about Asian suppliers starting to manufacture cheaper iPhones. Apple’s shares are now expected to continue to grow for the foreseeable future:
You are talking about a company thats growing about 80 percent on the top line, about 125 percent on the bottom line, [and] trading at 13 times earnings, 10 times when you back out the cash,
explained Collin Gillis, Senior Technology Analyst with BCG Partners. Things can always change quickly in the tech world. But the future seems brighter for Apple.
