While some folks are still hoping for Apple to release the next generation iPhone in July, the company will most likely do so some time in September or October. We have already heard a ton of exciting rumors about the device. Most folks expect the iPhone 5 to have a 4 inch display. According to KGI analyst Mingchi Kuo, the new iPhone will measure 4.08 inches and will offer 1,136 x 640 pixels resolution and aspect ratio of 16:9. The iPhone 5 is expected to have a better camera. While the rear camera will get a small upgrade, the front-camera may be upgraded to HD. At least that’s what the rumors suggest at this point.
We have seen a number of images that are purported to be the iPhone 5’s rear panel. The above video from parts supplier ETrade Supply goes beyond those and actually shows what could be the next iPhone’s back panel. Not surprisingly, it is taller and also slightly thinner. The rear panel seems to be out of aluminum this time around. The headphone jack has been moved from the top to the bottom. The dock connector is smaller as well.
Apple’s new nano-SIM technology has been in the news a lot lately. It seems the iPhone 5 will be the first Apple device to get it. Moreover, Apple is going to make it even harder for iPhone owners to access their device’s internals. No matter how real this looks, we are still talking about rumors. Apple could always change things at the last minute.
