This has been quite a hectic week for Apple. But for those who have been waiting to order their iPhone 4S, today is the date. Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint have all started offering iPhone 4S for pre-order on their websites. Not everyone is going to be eligible for an upgrade. Shoppers can check their eligibility for all three carriers on Apple’s website.
iPhone 4S will be available in 3 models. 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPhone 4S units will sell for $199, $299 and $399 respectively. These will require you to sign up for a 2 year contract with your carrier of choice. Not sure which plan works the best for you? Apple has put together a table that compares what you get from each carrier.
iPhone 4S is also available for pre-order in the UK. The new iPhone with iOS 5 will launch on October 14th. iOS 5 will be available for download for existing iOS devices on October 12th. Apple is expected to bring iPhone 4s to 70 countries by the end of 2011.
While many of us expected a bit more out of this iPhone, the device has enough features for iPhone fans to seriously consider upgrading. Will you upgrade to iPhone 4S or wait for the next generation coming in 2012?
