iPad Price Cuts, iPad 5 Coming? Apple Working on iRadio
0In case you have missed it, multiple retailers are offering great deals on iPads lately. Walmart is offering $30 off on iPad Mini and large iPad devices. Best Buy and MacMall have also lowered their prices on Apple tablets. This may not be just a coincidence though. Many experts expect the next generation iPad to be announced this month. These discounts could be about these retailers wanting to get rid of their old iPad inventory faster.
Apple announced the iPad 4 only a few months after the iPad 3 was released to the market. Could it be adopting a 6-month product release schedule? That remains to be seen. The iPad 5 is rumored to have a faster processor and a more shiny design. Other details are sketchy at this point.
Speaking of new Apple products, iRadio could be in the works. We reported on the rumors surrounding this a few days ago. Multiple sources are now reporting that Apple could soon sign a deal with Warner and Universal for iRadio. The service will bring a more integrated content experience to iOS devices in comparison to what services such as Pandora and Spotify offer.
Apple has declined to comment on the story. But as CNET has suggested, the deal with Apple could be a better one for the labels. The service will give consumers an easier way to buy what they hear. Apple will be using audio ads to fund this operation (sharing a portion of its ad revenue with labels). This could always fall through, so there is no guarantee we will see iRadio soon.
