iPad Mini 2 with Fingerprint Scanner, To Be Delayed?

The iPhone 5s has a pretty interesting fingerprint scanner. As we have covered it here in the past, it is not unhackable. Some people don’t feel comfortable using their fingerprint to unlock their device anyway. But the TouchID system is here to stay. In fact, the iPad Mini 2 is expected to have a fingerprint scanner. The device is rumored to ship in the same colors as the iPhone 5s.

As the folks at DoNews have reported, a gold version of iPad mini could be in the works. Both the iPad mini 2 and iPad 5 are expected to be announced in October unless there is a delay.

Amazon has already announced its new Kindle tablets. They are fast and much better than the previous models. The Nexus 7 FHD has been out for a while too. Apple fans will have wait till October to hear more about the new iPads. But will Apple be ready to reveal the iPad mini 2 in October? It is no secret that the device will have a Retina display. That is complicating the production process for Apple. iHS iSuppli is suggesting that the iPad mini 2 could be delayed. This is just a rumor at this point. We are not sure how long this delay will be. All will be revealed in the next few weeks. Let’s hope there is no delay as that would be very disappointing for Apple fans.
