Apple really doesn’t want you to repair your devices. Putting the fact that new Mac Minis are harder to upgrade aside, it seems you are going to have a very hard time repairing the new iPads. Of course, when you are dealing with such a thin device, you should think twice before opening it. The folks at iFixit have opened one of these thin tablets and found out that the fused front panel makes it harder to replace a cracked screen. The front panel is glued to the rest, so you can crack the glass during the repair process if you are not careful.
The good news is the battery is not soldered to the logic board for now. The device still scored a terrible repairability score of 2 out of 10. Here are the specs for the device according to iFixit:
