iPad Air 2 with A8 & Touch ID, Cheaper iMacs Coming?
0We hear a lot about the iPhone 6 and iWatch these days. But the iPad Air 2 is also going to be a special device. Apple is surely going to add a faster processor to the device. While the screen resolution is expected to stay at 2048 x 1536, the new iPad Air should offer a longer battery life. As multiple sources have reported, the iPad Air 2 will have a 8 MP camera, which on paper brings it on par with the current generation iPhone. The front camera will be improved as well.
Speaking of the new iPad Air 2, the device is expected to get a finger print scanner. iOS 8 will have a number of security features that, when combined with Touch ID, will provide users with a more secure experience. Apple is going to release the iWatch in September or October. It seems the iPad Air 2 will also be released around that time.
Speaking of new products, Business Insider is reporting that we could get cheaper iMacs later this year. The updated iMacs will have Thunderbolt 2 ports and new Intel processors that were announced in February. The table above by MacGeneration shows the alleged updates. It is not clear how much of a discount Apple plans to offer on these new iMacs. But if you have been planning to get one of these machines, you may want to hold out for a big longer.
