Many of us expected Apple to have some news for us in regards to the iPad 5 in April. It does not seem we will be getting the tablet this month though. But it is not hard to expect what the device will look like. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is now suggesting that the next generation iPad will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. It will have improved hardware inside.
As Kuo suggests, the iPad 5 is expected to be 15% thinner and 25% lighter than the iPad 4. The device will have improved hardware, including more energy efficient chips and an improved display. If NPD DisplaySearch’s Paul Semenza is right, we will have to wait till the third quarter of 2013 to get our hands on an iPad 5.
