In the past few weeks, we have gotten questions from a lot of our readers about the latest untethered jailbreak and when it will be out . The wait for iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak seems to be finally over. The jailbreak community has completed an untethered solution for the latest iOS. This was confirmed on Pod2g.
Those who have jailbroken their phones in the past know the importance of keeping up with these updates to make sure they do not lose their phone settings by accident (with an iOS update). Until now, only tethered jailbreaks (variations of it) were available for iOS 5. Tethered jailbreaks are inconvenient solutions as those who go in that route will have to connect their phones or tablets to a computer/laptop to boot up.
While the code seems to be broken, it will take a while before the solution is released to the public. Apple has been making it harder for jailbreakers to get around its restrictions. Can Apple ever stop jailbreakers? We will have to wait and see.
