Intel To Make Apple Chips? NUU MiniKey for iPhone 5 Debuts

Check out these uniquely awesome ✔️ iPhone gadgets & gizmos

The idea of Intel making chips for Apple products is nothing new. It was just a few months ago that we heard rumors about Apple teaming up with Intel to have custom chips developed for its iDevices. A report by Reuters is now suggesting that Apple could potentially move ahead with an agreement with Intel to reduce its dependency on Samsung.

If you can have a strategic relationship where you’re making chips for one of the largest mobile players, you should definitely consider that. And for Apple, that gets them a big advantage …

explained Pat Becker Jr, of Becker Capital Management. The idea makes sense for Apple. Intel has the volume production capabilities to help Apple rely less on its fierce competitor Samsung. Apple does use a mobile chip technology that Intel is trying to compete with. We will have to wait and see whether a deal goes down between these two.

Speaking of Apple products, the iPhone still does not have a physical keyboard and won’t be getting one. Most people are already used to the idea of typing on their phones using its digital keyboard. But those of you who need a mini keyboard for your iPhone 5 to type faster should check out the nuu MiniKey case. You can simply snap your iPhone in the case and slide its keyboard out for typing.

This case has a 42-key slide-out keyboard with backlight. A 380mAh rechargeable battery is built-in. The product is available for pre-order at the moment but will be shipping starting March 15th.
