We used to cover a lot of iPhone docks on this site in the past. Apple did change the game by introducing Lightning-based devices just a few months ago. Since then, many Bluetooth docks have made it to the market. iLuv’s Aud 5 happens to be a speaker dock with a Lightning connector. It is designed to charge your iPhone and play your music at the same time.
The iLuv Aud 5 is an elegant dock with full-range speakers and a passive radiator for deeper bass. It has top-mounted controls and auxiliary input port to directly connect to your other devices. As mentioned earlier, Aud 5 has a Lightning connector to charge and play your phone. This speaker costs you $150. It is available only in black at this time.
The Pebble Smartwatch is quite a neat gadget to have to keep up with things happening on your phone. Pebble’s new SDK now enables two-way communication between the watch and your phone. The announcement was made on Kickstarter:
Today we’re pleased to announce that 2-way communication is now enabled for 3rd party Pebble watchapps! You can download the updated SDK (now known as PebbleKit) at developer.getpebble.com. The major addition is the AppMessage subsystem which enables watchapps to send and receive data from a connected smartphone app.
This update not only enables developers to come up with watchfaces with data from the Internet but also allows controlling internet connected devices, playing multi-player Pebble games, better tracking of the news and more. Don’t forget to read the latest documentation and install Pebble firmware 1.10.2 to get started.
