Google Maps Leaked, iPad Mini Battery Revealed
0iOS fans have had a lot to cheer about in the past few weeks. The new iPhone and iPod Touch devices are certainly exciting. While it is true that Apple maps are not that great, they are not the only option available to iPhone and iPad users. In fact, Google may bring its maps app back to the platform soon. Developer Ben Guild has published photos that allegedly show Google maps for iOS 6 in Alpha phase.
Google has denied working on a new map app for iOS in the past only to backtrack. The company simply will not give up on this platform at this point. Studies have shown that the new Apple maps and their issues have not stopped consumers from buying the company’s new iPhone. While the above photo shows a native Google Maps app for iOS, it is not clear when it will make its debut. Will Apple play games with Google on that? We will have to wait and see.
The iPhone 5 has excited many Apple fans. But many still want to get their hands on the iPad mini. The device is expected to be announced in the next couple of weeks. According to the Next Best Web, the event’s main focus will be on iBooks. Not surprisingly, iPad mini parts have been leaked to the web ahead of the announcement. The above photo shows what could be the battery for the new iPad. It has a 16.7 watt-hour capacity, which puts it in between the iPad 3 (42.5 wh) and the iPhone 5 (5.45 wh).
Apple is expected to announce the new iPad mini at a media event on October 23rd. The exact pricing information has not been released at this point (though these could go for as low as $249).
