iPod Touch may have gotten a huge upgrade in its latest generation, but it is by no means an iPhone killer. iPod Touch 4’s design is more sleek than its predecessor. The device has a front-facing camera and a retina display just like its big brother iPhone. Just don’t expect its display or camera to be as good as iPhone. iPod Touch’s screen is still pretty decent but simply can’t keep up with that of iPhone 4’s.
The difference is much more noticeable when we compare iPhone and iPod Touch cameras. iPod Touch’s camera is capable of capturing still images of 720 x 960 pixels. It is not too impressive of a camera but better than nothing as far as iPod Touch owners are concerned.
Is iPod Touch 4G faster than iPhone 4G? That’s tough to say. Plenty of speed tests have been demonstrated on YouTube. The results are not conclusive.
In the meantime, Apple seem to be already gearing up for iPhone 5. The company is looking to take advantage of LiquidMetal in its next generation mobile devices. iPhone 5 could have a Qualcomm Chipset, meaning Apple’s next phone could be compatible with both 3G and 4G networks. There is no longer any doubt that Verizon and other iPhones are on their way.
