We have been hearing all kinds of rumors about Apple products lately. That’s not surprising as the company is expected to release new iPhones and iPads this year. Apple happens to be a premium brand. It has been manufacturing and selling premium products of a long time. But the latest rumors suggest that it may be changing its approach to introduce a budget iPhone. The goal is to stay competitive against other players and reach more homes.
Apple will never release a low quality iPhone regardless of the price. The latest rumor does suggest that the budget iPhone will be borrowing features from other Apple devices. It could have iPhone 5’s Retina display, iPod Touch’s bottom edge, and iPod classic’s housing shape. The casing will be made mostly of plastic. The device will probably be a tad bit thicker too. It could have curved edges with a flat back. Let’s keep in mind that Apple may or may not release such a device. The company will have to make some sacrifices to build a cheaper iPhone though.
In order to connect your new iPhone, iPad, and other iOS devices to your computer, you are going to need a Lightning cable. But your other gadgets won’t work with that. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to use one cable for Lightning and micro USB devices? Orobis Transform is a cool cable that can be transformed from a micro USB cable to a Lightning one in seconds.
The cable does look a bit different from the traditional adapters on the market. The micro USB cable is half-open which makes the transformation process possible. The cable is compact and portable. The idea is unique and has potential. The project is seeking funding on Indiegogo.com at this point.
