Bodyprint: Biometric Authentication on Smartphones Using the Touchscreen

Many of us carry our smartphones everywhere we go. Nobody likes their phone accessed by a stranger. There are various methods for user authentication on mobile devices. Bodyprint happens to be a biometric authentication system that uses the touchscreen of a smartphone to scan the user’s ears, palms, fingers, and other parts. The scans are used to extract features and recognize the user.

Bodyprint is capable of detecting users with a high level of accuracy. More importantly, it is a cheaper option in comparison to alternative solutions. Bodyprint achieves 99.8% authentication precision with a false-rejection rate of 1 out of 13. You can find out more about it here.
