As Apple starts shipping Apple TV units to those who ordered them early on, unboxing videos are surfacing all over the Internet. Apple did tell us a lot about what this device will have to offer during its launch event but those unboxing video demonstrations are always nice to see. PCMag has already posted a video review on the device that shows how its interface works:
PC Magazine did offer a very positive review for this device and named the following as the positives for the new Apple TV:
Compact design. Intuitive user interface. Streams video, music, and photos from your computer, iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. 99-cent TV-show rentals. Streams Netflix Watch Instantly content, YouTube, and content from iOS devices to Apple TV.
In order to get the most out of this device, you are going to need more content (at a cheap price too). Being able to share your Apple TV content with other devices would be nice too. Apple TV is super compact and should fit in almost any room. It’s affordable than a lot of its competitors, so it does have a lot going for it.
Apple TV does look impressive in some ways and limited in many others (content sharing and selection). The device is attractive and quite affordable. It will most certainly have apps and can be jailbroken. No wonder early reviews are mostly positive.
