Apple Sets Record, Troubles Continue
0Anyway one looks at it, this year has been a success for Apple. The company set records with iPad and now is doing the same with iPhone 4. Apple seems to have sold 1.7m iPhone 4 units in its first 3 days. That even beats the numbers for iPhone 3G S.
This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history…. Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply,
said Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple. Apple has not had it all figured out though. People are still complaining about iPhone’s reception issues. When something starts trending on popular sites, you know the issue is very serious.
As is the case with almost anything, lawyers are already courting iPhone owners who may have suffered emotional distress and feel like suing Apple. A class action suit seems to be gathering steam, though Apple may not be worried about that just yet.
Apple has suffered some setbacks internationally as well. The German government has asked Apple to become more transparent about the data it gathers about its customers. For a company that has a lot going for it, Apple has suffered a lot just in the past couple of weeks.
The good new is Apple will be laughing all the way to the bank. The company is making a decent amount of profit per iPhone 4 unit. A patch for “death grip” seems to be in the works too. Will the whole “death grip” issue go away? We will have to wait and see.
