The next Apple event is finally upon us, and we are finally going to hear about the latest changes to the iPod product line. We shall see very soon whether Apple is giving us what rumors have indicated in the past few weeks: iPod Touch Video.
Steve Jobs is here. So it must be big news. Good to see the guy. It’s been a while.
So we have iPhone 3.1. Let’s get to the real news. A lot of news on genius, better syncing capability, and so on. Speaking of iPhone 3.1, jailbreakers need to be aware that it could cause problems. So I recommend you wait. But you already knew that.
iTunes 9 is up. Facebook sharing feature enabled too. Very interesting.
The iPod part of the presentation is here. Running some stats. Apple is officially going against PSP and other mobile gaming devices. OK. At least we don’t have to pretend they are not. They just showed the NFL game for iPod. Wow. The game looks great.
The iPod Touch is now going for $199 (at 8 GB). iPod Nano will have a video camera too? Sorry Flip! The exciting news really is that the iPad Nano will have a recorder, a pedometer, and a camera. Am surprised that it wasn’t offered for iPod Touch.
My guess at this point is, why introduce a camera for iPod Touch when you can do it in January or at some other event. Don’t show all your cards in one place, right?
