The iPhone XS not only has a powerful processor but a gorgeous display. Just like anything else, you can break it if not careful. The good news is you can always repair it if you know your way around iPhones. iFixit has shared a video that shows what it takes to replace your iPhone XS display.
For this project, you are going to need an iOpener, opening picks, suction cup, Spudger, tweeters, a magnetic mat, and a bunch of other basic tools. Make sure your battery is below 25% just to be on the safe side. Power your iPhone off, remove the screws, heat the adhesives with iOpener, and use suction cups to open the phone.
As you can see in the above video, you will have to handle your iPhone with care throughout the process to replace the display without any major issue. You can find the kits and tools needed on iFixit.
