If it is not able to help you get around traffic, you will not reach your destination on time (unless your city is experimenting to find ways to get rid of traffic jams, like what’s shown in the above video). Nobody likes getting stuck in traffic anyway. These 6 traffic apps for iPhone can help you avoid getting stuck in traffic:

Waze: Waze is a powerful social GPS application. It gives you live routing based on community-generated, real-time traffic and road info. You get complete voice-guided navigation.

INRIX Traffic: one of the best traffic apps around. It helps you find the fastest routes to home and work. You can share your arrival times with others easily.

Beat the Traffic: lets you check the latest traffic conditions and avoid traffic jams. You can set up alerts to get warned about traffic. It works in the U.S. and Canada.

Scout GPS: combines maps, GPS, voice navigation, and traffic information to help you get to your destination faster. Users can share their ETA information with others and sync data with their calendar.

Google Maps: does not need any introduction. It is a high quality GPS and map application but has traffic information too.

MapQuest: another awesome free navigation app for iPhone with traffic data. Its Live Traffic Display is updated every 5 minutes. We are not a big fan of the ads though.
