iDetection: AI Object Detection App for iPhone

In the past few months, we have covered plenty of exciting AI iOS apps with machine learning. iDetection is also worth a look. It is an neat little app that uses your phone’s camera to detect and locate up to 80 classes of common objects in real-time.

This app is based on YOLOv5 trained on COCO 2017 dataset with PyTorch and exported to Apple CoreML format. It doesn’t require any cloud computing to classify images. For best performance, you will want to run iDetection on recent iPhone models.
