Wouldn’t it be nice if we had an unlimited amount of time to get our chores done? Unfortunately, that can only happen in a dream world. The good news is there are techniques and tools one can use to get more done in less time and become overall more productive. GTD is based a set of simple techniques that help you identify things that need to get done and take action before it is too late. Interested? These 8 GTD apps for iPhone help you implement this approach in your daily life:
Action Lists – GTD Task Manager: designed specifically to facilitate the GTD methodology. It has an intuitive interface and supports syncing with Toodledo.
To Do for iPhone: dubbed as the “most connected to do list” manager for iPhone and for a good reason. It is not only a great tool to manage projects with, you can sync it with Todo Online, iCal, Outlook, and Toodledo.com.
Pocket Informant: perhaps the most advanced to do list manager for iPhone. Provides event location mapping and location-based alerts. Syncs with Outlook, Google Calendar, and Toodledo.
Toodledo: does not need any introduction. An intuitive application to manage your tasks and store your notes with. You can use GTD or your own methodology to get more done with this app.
OmniFocus: a powerful and expensive application for GTD practitioners. Cloud sync feature is a plus. Probably not the best option if you don’t have a Mac.
Things for iPhone: a decent application to manage your daily life with, especially if you are using its desktop version on your Mac.
StickyDoo with iAssist: one of the most exciting to do applications around. It comes with a personal assistant to make your life easier. It supports repeating tasks and sync with multiple Macs (w/ in app purchase). Syncing with Toodledo (3G/WiFi) OR iCal (WiFi) is possible too.
Firetask: takes full advantage of David Allen’s GTD practices to help you stay on top of your tasks. Its interface is quite attractive. Does not have some of the advanced featured offered by other apps in this list. At the same time, it is priced in an affordable fashion.
