I’d be the first one to admit that I don’t spend too much time underwater these days. Maybe I am getting too old for it. But when I heard about H2O Audio’s waterproof case for iPhone, I had to give it a try to find out if it was as good as it was promised to be. Testing a waterproof case for iPhone can be a bit tricky. If the case doesn’t work, your phone is going to die on you, and you probably won’t get a second chance. So I decided to try it using my iPod touch. As promised, my iPod actually survived my underwater adventure. It’s supposed to work down to 12 feet underwater, but I only tested it under a few feet. I am glad that it worked regardless.
I had no problem with the case and the water didn’t find a way to get through. The case fits all kinds of mp3 players, so you are not just limited to your iPod Touch or iPhone. I also like the armband as it makes it easy for those who want to go surfing or swimming to take their phone with them without having to worry about losing it. You can easily work on your gadget using the case’s ClearTouch window.
The case is waterproof but your earphones probably aren’t. That’s why you should consider getting waterproof earphones to complete your underwater iPod kit. I would have preferred to have waterproof earphones included in the package, but I guess you can’t have it all. All in all, H2O Audio Amphibx Waterproof Armband is a solid waterproof case that lets you take your Apple gadget with you on the go. The case does work, and I have no problem recommending it. But do yourself a favor and leave your phone at home if you are planning to go treasure hunting under the sea. That’s what I would do.
