Shure’s microphones such as the SM7B are quite legendary. The Shure MV7i is the latest smart microphone from the brand that was announced at CES 2025. It lets you attach a 2nd XLR microphone or musical instrument without an external hardware interface. You will be able to control both channels through your computer or smartphone.
The MV7i looks a bit like the SM7B. It has a 60dB gain and 48V phantom power, so you can use it with dynamic and condenser microphones. The MV7i uses SmartGate technology to calibrate gain based on proximity, volume, and other factors. You also get a real-time denoiser to reduce ambient noise for podcasting, and a digital popper stopper.
This microphone offers real-time audio monitoring with a 3.5mm jack. It supports multi-track and stereo recording modes.
