The idea of giving an arm to robot vacuums is nothing new but it has not worked out well in the past. The Roomba Saros Z70 is the latest robot vacuum with a manipulator arm that unfolds from the top of it. It can extend to grab and move items from its path.
The OmniGrip will have to be activated through the app. Users can decide which objects OmniGrip can interact with. It is not designed to pick up super heavy items as it has max load capacity of 300g. This robot will also have advanced navigation and mapping capability.
