Quokka: App Connected Quantum Computer Emulator for STEM
0We hear about quantum computing a lot these days. Teaching it to students can be challenging as it can be too abstract. The Quokka aims to change that. It is a nifty device that emulates a 30-qubit fault-tolerant quantum computer, which means it accepts quantum programs and returns the correct answer. It pairs to your smartphone, allowing you to manage a group of Quokkas.
You can send quantum programs to this computer through a RESTful API. You get 3 programming interfaces to try (circuit builder, Jupyter, and block-based programming). This quantum computer also comes with a bunch of lessons, tutorials, and community projects for you to try. It is powered by a quad-core compute module with 4GB RAM. You can find it on Kickstarter.
