Audio jammers are nothing new. Plenty of people have been using them to prevent eavesdropping. The traditional ones use another sound to prevent clear audio recording. The iRabbler takes a different approach. It uses ultrasonic waves to block sound from your device. It uses a frequency that is safe for humans but messes with the sound recorded by phones, making sure sensitive information can’t be retrieved from them.
The iRabbler can jam voice recorders, microphones, body worn cameras, and other audio surveillance devices. It has an interference range of 1 to 6m and interference angle of 360 degrees. It lasts up to 5 hours on battery. This project is currently being funded on Indiegogo.
