Meet the GeniCan: a smart gadget that you can use in your garbage can to order common household items as soon as you run out. It was developed in partnership with Amazon’s Dash Replenishment Service. It has sensors to detect and scan items as you throw them away. The data is synced to your smartphone via WiFi.
GeniCan makes maintaining your grocery shopping list easy. It is powered by AA batteries and supports iOS and Android devices. To use the device, simply hold each item in front of it for a couple of seconds and use voice commands to complete the process. More info is available here.
