The Ameca Robot is a humanoid AI robot platform designed for human-robot interactions. It has a modular design and modules that run independently. It can display natural motion and facial expressions. This cloud connected device can be used to test AI and machine learning modules.

As the above video from Engineered Arts shows, an iPhone 12 with ARKit can be used for facial motion capture that is mapped in real-time to Ameca’s face. Using this approach, Ameca is capable of mimicking a human’s facial expressions.
