Meet Aster: a smart backpack with integrated bike lights, brake indicator light, and turn signals to keep bike riders visible and safe on the road. The backpack’s 16-LED rear light is visible from a distance of up to 250 meters. The built-in accelerometer in the handlebar unit senses when you slow down to activate brake lights.
Aster comes with an iOS/Android app that lets you see the battery life of the unit. The battery should last up to 15 hours. The project is getting funded in Indiegogo.
