airfy Beacon: Home Automation with Your iPhone + IFTTT

🤖iPhone compatible STEM robots for kids

Our homes are going to become a whole lot smarter in the upcoming years. There are already plenty of gizmos available to help you automate things around your home. airfy Beacon happens to be a cool product that aims to help you get started with home automation. Just bring your phone, a Nest and a Phillips Hue light to get started. The magic happens thanks to beacons that connect to your smartphone through Bluetooth.

Once you have your lights and thermostat set up, you can use the airfy app to change their behavior based on your proximity, the number of people in your home, and time. You can use IFTTT to set up complicated processes for your home. You can set up your gadgets to save you money on energy while keeping you comfortable at home. The complete cost of such a home automation project is not too high either. This project is on Kickstarter at this time.
